Paranoid
Paranoid personality disorder is characterized by a distrust of others and a constant suspicion that people around you have sinister motives. People with this disorder tend to have excessive trust in their own knowledge and abilities and usually avoid close relationships with others. They search for hidden meanings in everything and read hostile intentions into the actions of others. They are quick to challenge the loyalties of friends and loved ones and often appear cold and distant to others. They usually shift blame to others and tend to carry long grudges.

Schizoid
People with schizoid personality disorder avoid relationships and do not show much emotion. They genuinely prefer to be alone and do not secretly wish for popularity. They tend to seek jobs that require little social contact. Their social skills are often weak and they do not show a need for attention or acceptance. They are perceived as humorless and distant and often are termed "loners."

Schizotypal
Many believe that schizotypal personality disorder represents mild schizophrenia. The disorder is characterized by odd forms of thinking and perceiving, and individuals with this disorder often seek isolation from others. They sometimes believe to have extra sensory ability or that unrelated events relate to them in some important way. They generally engage in eccentric behavior and have difficulty concentrating for long periods of time. Their speech is often over elaborate and difficult to follow.

Antisocial
A common misconception is that antisocial personality disorder refers to people who have poor social skills. The opposite is often the case. Instead, antisocial personality disorder is characterized by a lack of conscience. People with this disorder are prone to criminal behavior, believing that their victims are weak and deserving of being taken advantage of. They tend to lie and steal. Often, they are careless with money and take action without thinking about consequences. They are often agressive and are much more concerned with their own needs than the needs of others.

Borderline
Borderline personality disorder is characterized by mood instability and poor self-image. People with this disorder are prone to constant mood swings and bouts of anger. Often, they will take their anger out on themselves, causing themselves injury. Suicidal threats and actions are not uncommon. They think in very black and white terms and often form intense, conflict-ridden relationships. They are quick to anger when their expectations are not met.

Histrionic
People with histrionic personality disorder are constant attention seekers. They need to be the center of attention all the time, often interrupting others in order to dominate the conversation. They use grandiose language to discribe everyday events and seek constant praise. They may dress provacatively or exaggerate illnesses in order to gain attention. They also tend to exaggerate friendships and relationships, believing that everyone loves them. They are often manipulative.

Had it been years? Maybe.. I don't remember. I'm talking about going with my parents to their prayer meetings. I went to one lately and... there's nothing much in there. But there's one thing I appreciate though. The same old members are still there and are sharing nothing but all the itsy-bitsy things that God has blessed them-- being spared from the accident, a car that has been spared from a collision, a pretty face that has been spared from a reckless bump, a chance to attend a healing mass, the little that one has shared for the needy... Aah... These creatures must be made saints.

And I learned one thing. My Ma shared her fears of death and how God had made her realize that it is something that is not to be feared and aggrieved. Pa jerked me to his side and said, "Some people even eat death..." I didn't quite fathom what he meant at first, then he added, "Remember when you prayed on your late godmother's wake, 'Bless us oh Lord..'" I tried to suppress my laughter but then, everybody was already lookin' at me. *cheesy smiles*

You are different. You're the type of person that is easily spotted in a crowd. You have a radiant personality. You probably go through a lot of mood swings from happy to lonely, angry to sad, loving to spiteful, and so on. Be aware that your sudden change in personality may offend some people. People like to be around you because you are genuine and relaxed. You seem at peace with yourself and you give off that "what you see is what you get" vibe. That's a good thing because your general audience will feel relaxed and at ease knowing that they too can be themselves with out having to worry. Try not to judge others on their appearance. It’s just the same… same old bad luck every time, on the 14^th of February, every year. I lose my valentine. No kidding. I used to lament on it. But I find it funny, thinking about it now…

 

I recall, years ago, Jeff asked me to be his valentine on December, a couple of months before the day of hearts. I didn’t say yes right away. I only decided on the fortnight before the special day. The day of hearts came, I waited and waited but I didn’t hear a single word from him. I admit I was angry. Haha! I only found out, a week after that he was run over by a vehicle when he rescued an old woman crossing the street. So during Valentine’s Day, he was lying sick on the hospital. I didn’t even bother to call him when I didn’t hear from him that day. Haha!

 

Last year, my boyfriend at that time was supposed to be my valentine but his job kept him away from me. I spent it at home sleeping, after a half day’s work. Haha! It wasn’t so bad. He, at least, sent me a long stemmed red rose which I’m not so proud to clutch while on my way home.

 

This year, my so-called valentine came days earlier to spend Valentine’s Day with me only to leave hastily on that day for an important personal matter. Haha! Well, at least, we’ve spent 3 days together before he left.

 

I just realized the pattern now and I can only laugh at it. I guess, I’ll never get lucky on Valentine’s Day, or if I will be, then, HE MIGHT BE THE ONE.
